DUCJFC2016 - Day 3

Day 3 -  I started and finished a simple Lizzie Kate ornament.  HoHoHo from Tiny Tidings XVI.

(The dark you see on the bottom  is not a stain in the fabric but shadow from taking the picture after midnight!)

I will be doing quite a few of the Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings ornaments. I really like them, they work up fast and I have been wanting to do them for some time now. With a new start every day, I don't want to have too many big projects as I will never get them finished! I feel like I am accomplishing something this way by finishing these pretty much as I go!

I will be finishing HoHoHo into a small pillow ornament, I think. I haven't decide for sure yet. It will go nicely with my Santa collection though.

I also worked a bit more on my Eiffel Tower but still, it is not done. By midnight I had had enough so put it away until tomorrow (today). This is where I ended:

I am hoping I get it finished today but who knows? I have to start on Day 4 which I have decided will be another quick, easy one from the same Lizzie Kate Tiny Tidings. This time it will be "Merry Christmas". I WILL have a tree full of hand stitched ornaments next year one way or another! I am off to stitch while I can before hubby wakes up and we go shopping before we have to return the rental car.

Have a wonderful Monday!

DUCJFC2016 - Day 2

Day 2,  I started and finished a project!

This is Jingle Bells, a freebie from HERE
She has a lot of wonderful patterns on her site. Take a few minutes to look around!

I also worked a bit more on my Eiffel Tower. It's coming along nicely. Depending on what comes up, I should be able to finish it today or tomorrow with any luck!

I totally enjoyed stitching the Jingle Bells. It went quite quickly! The Eiffel Tower is a fun one as well. I just have to keep my post-its lined up!

Just a note....I usually post a day behind. I know today is the 3rd but I stitch until quite late at night and am too tired to post here so while it is the 3rd, my post is for the 2nd!

Well that's it for now!
Have a wonderful Sunday!

DUCJFC2016 - Day 1

Welcome to my new craft blog. Mostly it will be about my cross stitching but since I do many crafts I didn't want to limit it to one thing just in case I wanted to post about my other crafts.

Yesterday, January 1, I started "Debbie's Ultimate Crazy January/February Challenge 2016 (DUCJFC2016). You start one cross stitch project each day for every day in January, January & February, or....some really dedicated people are doing 366 days of starts! I have committed to January for now and we will see how that goes before I commit to February or beyond. I definitely have enough cross stitch projects to do or finish but you know how life goes.
Anyway, for Day 1, January 1st, I started an Eiffel Tower freebie.
Here is what it looks like:

You can get the pattern here

Here is my start:

Since my daughter went to Paris for New Years, I plan on adding the words "Paris 2016" as well as some fireworks as this is for her. She doesn't know yet so shhhhh!

I am looking for some free cross stitch SALs for 2016 so you will probably see some of those here eventually as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

That's it for Day 1. Onto Day 2......
